Love the dynamic range of the Nikon D800E. This is one image taken with -2 exposure compensation and then used camera raw to bring back the detail in the foreground!
Hmm wondering if there is any need to exposure blend images any more?
Fine Art Photographer with a Passion to Capture the Magnificence of Creation
My friends call me Dave.
I live on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
I have had a passion for photography(As you can my the latest posts I seem to be drawn towards beach and wave photography) for about ten years now and it is growing by the day. I have always loved being outdoors which reflects my love of capturing God's creation. (Including his ultimate creation: people!) And I love sharing it. This is why I have started this blog. I hope you like the images and that they may produce in you a love for the beauty of nature as well.
From seascapes to the mountains, from travel to sports my friends rarely see me without my camera.
I am a sports lover (especially surfing and sking) which comes from my upbringing. Ever since I can remember we holidayed at the beach. Starting out with a ‘KFC foamy’ surfboard and eventually an M.R twin fin (now I’m showing my age) Funny isn’t it how we go back to the past with a lot of things because I now have a 'Fish' board.
The images here are available for purchase (except for the personal images of course).I prefer to use CFL print studio for my printing. They offer a wide range of Photographic paper, canvas, archival gold and acrylic face mounting. I personally love the look and feel of Fujiflex paper. It’s simply stunning!
PS My T shirts are quite popular so check them out!
Please feel free to leave a comment even if it is critical.(constructive of course) I am always looking for ways to improve my photography.
