Fine Art Photographer with a Passion to Capture the Magnificence of Creation
My friends call me Dave.
I live on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
I have had a passion for photography(As you can my the latest posts I seem to be drawn towards beach and wave photography) for about ten years now and it is growing by the day. I have always loved being outdoors which reflects my love of capturing God's creation. (Including his ultimate creation: people!) And I love sharing it. This is why I have started this blog. I hope you like the images and that they may produce in you a love for the beauty of nature as well.
From seascapes to the mountains, from travel to sports my friends rarely see me without my camera.
I am a sports lover (especially surfing and sking) which comes from my upbringing. Ever since I can remember we holidayed at the beach. Starting out with a ‘KFC foamy’ surfboard and eventually an M.R twin fin (now I’m showing my age) Funny isn’t it how we go back to the past with a lot of things because I now have a 'Fish' board.
The images here are available for purchase (except for the personal images of course).I prefer to use CFL print studio for my printing. They offer a wide range of Photographic paper, canvas, archival gold and acrylic face mounting. I personally love the look and feel of Fujiflex paper. It’s simply stunning!
PS My T shirts are quite popular so check them out!
Please feel free to leave a comment even if it is critical.(constructive of course) I am always looking for ways to improve my photography.

Robert Stanley via Facebook - This is such a cool pic. I’ve been following a guy, Josh Adamski, for a while who processes a lot of his pics in a similar fashion to this but often goes a little too far for my taste, but this is just spot on 🙂June 17, 2014 – 4:27 pm

Jodie Hall via Facebook - Yes I have CS6 🙂 & even a nice wave pic to practise on….just no clue how to do it.June 18, 2014 – 2:57 pm
DavidGeoffreyGosling Photography via Facebook - Open your image and select layer , duplicate layer. in the layer palette you will now see two of the same.
This will give you a new layer background copy.
Make sure that that layer is chosen or highlighted!
Select filter, blur, motion blur.
Use the slider to adjust to your liking.
Go okay
At the bottom of the layer palette is an icon that looks like a rectangle with a circle called layer mask! Click on that!
Now you will have a white mask next to the background copy!
Make sure that mask is chosen or highlighted.
Now choose a brush with lower opacity!
You can adjust the size on the brush using the left and right bracket key.
Make sure the brush is black
now you can brush away the blur effect to what you think looks good!
After you finish flatten the layer and save out in your desired format!
Hope this helps
Hard to tell you like this!June 18, 2014 – 4:04 pm
